Commercial/Retail Project:

YWCA Shop for Good — Women’s Resale Boutique (Evanston, IL)

Led the creative direction and full renovation for the YWCA’s Shop for Good resale boutique, transforming a former take-and-bake pizza shop—complete with a large walk-in freezer, tiled walls, and outdated flooring—into a warm, welcoming, community-centered retail space. Over 1,400 square feet were reimagined through new flooring, removal of existing tile, fresh paint, updated lighting including a statement chandelier, and a layout designed to improve flow, visibility, and customer experience.

The design direction embraced a boho, warm, and empowering aesthetic, rooted in themes of women’s empowerment, racial equity, and safety. Décor incorporated a mix of thrifted and sustainably sourced pieces, Etsy artwork, and curated accessories that reflected the boutique’s mission and personality. Developed mood boards, color palettes, merchandising strategies, in-store signage, and promotional materials to create a cohesive brand experience. The new space increased walkability, enhanced display capabilities, and established a vibrant, welcoming environment for shoppers and the broader community.
